Gains Weight:
Mostly gained at my waist.
Lifestyle (prior to program):
Couch Potato.
Background: Family history on both sides of alcoholism, diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure, sleep apnea and goodness knows what else. After a rough winter in which I was drinking and smoking too much, battling a case of bronchitis for months and suffering from severe sleep apnea and chronic fatigue, I felt I was on the verge of a breakdown. My brother recommended that I do something about getting back in shape and told me about the BFL program.

Goals: 1. To regain my health and vitality; my strength of body, soundness of mind, wholeness of spirit, to leave behind a life of self indulgence, self pity, and self abuse through discipline in diet, exercise, and in thought and action. 2. To regain the respect of my children, family, friends, associates, and myself by working to achieve my true potential and self confidence for goal number 1, thereby setting an example for others that they too can overcome their own personal odds, shortcomings, and insecurities. 3. To continually educate myself on matters of health, nutrition, wellness and spirituality so that I may fulfill the above, continue to grow in mind, body and soul, and be able to pass on that information to others. 4. To regain the passion and fire I once knew and develop it further; to incorporate that joie de vivre in all areas of my life that I may help to serve and inspire others. 5. To experience this life as a journey, rather than a destination; to take all that is past, the good, the bad, the ugly and use it for a higher purpose; to never forget the past, but never to dwell on it, rather, to use it day by day to listen, relate and help others in their journeys as well.
